Massage Therapy

Massage is a treatment which aims to relax, revive and heal the body. Using manual hands-on movements and manipulation of the soft tissues and muscles in the body, massage therapy works to promote healing and enhance a person’s overall well-being.

Ruth, our Physiotherapist has worked with patients to prepare for joint surgery which evidence has shown improves outcomes and recovery, as well as working in the rehabilitation of patients post surgically eg after a hip or knee replacement, making sure you regain optimum strength and mobility after surgery. Ruth has worked in a hospital setting to rehabilitate patients after falls and neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s. With a significant rugby background, Ruth provides physical therapy and pitch-side first aid for Garnock RFC and has worked in Wales with the professional rugby side, Dragons RFC, where she developed her skills to align with their high standard. In addition to working with sports injuries Ruth specialises in neurological rehabilitation of various conditions including stroke, multiple sclerosis and Parkinsons. With previous experience in an acute stroke ward, Ruth can help you regain as much function and mobility as possible to retrain your body from stroke, allowing you to return to activities that you enjoy.

Simeon London undertook his training in osteopathy in 1991, graduating in 1995, also with a first class Honours degree. He is a keen cyclist who enjoys exploring the hills and valleys of Ayrshire and Renfrewshire. 
 Since qualification he has worked at several osteopathic practices in the UK and abroad, as well as developing a passion for osteopathic education. He was Head of Clinical Education and Dean of Academic Development at the University College of Osteopathy in London. He has lectured extensively in the UK and overseas to osteopathy students at all stages of their training. He is also a non-executive osteopath member of the General Osteopathic Council, the body that regulates the profession in the UK He has a wealth of experience in treating patients with a diverse range of problems and has a special interest in working with runners and cyclists to help them recover from and manage problems so they can continue to do what they love.

Alessio qualified as an Osteopath in Milan in 2021.

Alessio has developed a specific interest in structural and visceral osteopathy and on how the musculo-skeletal system and the visceral system tend to influence each another. He is also very passionate about mental health and how it can be influenced by acute and chronic pain.

Aside from osteopathy Alessio is extremely passionate about tennis, a previously competitive tennis player, he still loves to play recreationally in his free time.
